The Plantations Rums are no longer an insider tip. The excellent rums are mainly collected in the Caribbean and also in South America and then brought to France, where they receive their final touch. In Ars in France, the rum is subsequently stored for several months in small discarded oak cognac barrels. This type of aging is called "double aging", this technique was already used in the 18th and 19th centuries.

This rum is traditionally distilled in column still. The storage requires 7 years in bourbon barrels before the rum receives its finish for 12 months in Château de Bonbonnet in old Ferrand cognac barrels.
