The currently young brand Balcones is now considered the largest traditional Texas whiskey producer, which is not based in Kentucky or Tennessee.
The whiskies are produced in a purpose-built distillery.
Even the utensils that the distillery uses for production were made in-house.

The Balcones Texas Pot Still Bourbon Whisky is produced on the basis of Blue Corn.
The inauguration of the imported Forsyyths pot still was the reason for making the whiskey.
Four-grain mash based on Blue Corn is blended with wheat, rye and barley malt.
The whiskey matures for about 2 years in American white oak barrels.

Colour: amber.
Nose: Honey, juicy apples, notes of buttery corn, toasted oak.
Taste: Full-bodied, sweet, caramel, honey, candied pecans, notes of leather, sandalwood.
Finish: Long lasting.
