In this exclusive gift set, discover three delicious ways in which we combine malt whiskies and grain whiskies. Scotland’s two styles of whisky allow for endless experimentation. Blended malts are long established; blended Scotch emerged in the 19th century, while blended grain started with us in 2000.

This one-of-a-kind sampler collection celebrates the compelling possibilities of malt whisky and grain whisky by introducing Orchard House alongside two of our established whiskies, Glasgow Blend and Hedonism.

Orchard House combines exclusively single malt whiskies, making it a blended malt Scotch whisky, whilst Hedonism draws only on mature single grain whiskies and is that seldom-seen creature, a blended grain Scotch whisky. Then Glasgow Blend completes the picture by bringing together both single grain and single malt whiskies in one bottle as a blended Scotch whisky.

• 1x Compass Box GLASGOW BLEND Scotch Whisky 43% Vol. 0.05 l
  Aeneas MacDonald’s 1930s book «Whisky» taught us that Glaswegians historically prefer fuller-bodied and more flavorful whiskies.
  Glaswegians are also known for their sense of humor, which is why the city’s Wellington statue, traditionally dressed in a traffic cone, is featured on the front label.
  This old school peated blended Scotch whisky, with a malt content of about 65% is inspired by 100 year old recipes.
  Like the Artist Blend, the Glasgow Blend also features a high percentage of single malt. The addition of malt whisky aged in Oloroso Sherry-aged casks and an Islay single malt of a powerfully peaty nature give this blended Scotch whisky a character unlike any other.
  Colour: straw gold.
  Nose: Toffee pudding, sherry wine, notes of coal fire.
  Taste: Full, smoky, maritime, notes of spices, fruit cake, sherry.
  Finish: Long lasting.
  Best enjoyed in a tumbler or wine glass before or after a meal, possibly with a splash of water.
  The extra weight from the Glasgow Blend adds complementary depth to whiskey-based cocktails.

• 1x Compass Box ORCHARD HOUSE Blended Malt 46% Vol. 0,05 l
  The Compass Box ORCHARD HOUSE Blended Malt is the successor of the OAK CROSS.
  The majority of the whiskies used for this are purchased freshly distilled. Subsequently, these distillates mature in barrels according to in-house specifications. Many distilleries used for this are specifically known for their fruity nuances.
  Colour: Straw gold.
  Nose: Light, cooked fruits, ginger, spices, toffee.
  Taste: Notes of fruit tart, red apples, honey, hints of Christmas spices.
  Finish: Long lasting, oak, spicy sweetness.

• 1x Compass Box HEDONISM Blended Grain 43% Vol. 0,05 l
  Hedonism is the first whisky created by Compass Box in 2000 and is characteristic of the distillery.
  The inspiration behind the Hedonism bottling is just that; pleasure, pleasure, pleasure — a marriage of distilled spirit with a quality maturation in oak.
  Hedonism will always be lush, smooth and creamy, but each year different whiskies are used in different combinations by Compass Box to achieve this.
  Only very old casks are used for Hedonism, on average over 20 years old. And it is bottled only when the casks have the right flavor profile.
  Coluor: Light straw yellow.
  Nose: Notes of vanilla, toffee, coconut.
  Taste: Creamy, cherries, sweet spices, vanilla, cereal aromas.
  Finish: Long lasting, spicy, oak, milk chocolate.
