Gaja Conteisa Barolo DOC 2014 14% Vol. 0,75l

The Gaja wine company is one of the most famous in the world. In 1859 the winery in Barbaresco was founded by Giovanni Gaja. Giovanni Gaja was the great-grandfather of the current owner, Angelo Gaja. 

About 300.000 bottles of wine are produced annually and the vineyard covers 92 hectares.

Tasting notes:

Dark red in the glass. In the nose it has a strong character with floral notes, full-bodied and dense. Gentle on the palate. Long lasting finish with perfectly integrated tannin. 

Grape variety: Nebbiolo, Barbera. 

Soil: Lime, clay. 

Closure: Natural cork. 

The wine harmonizes with dark meat like game and beef.
