Absente Grande Absente 69% Vol. 1l

Grande Absente is a very good Absinthe with subtle aromas from the Distilleries & Domaines de Provence. It is the brother of the "little" Absente and a bit more bitter than this one. 

Distilleries & Domaines de Provence has been producing liqueurs and aperitifs in the municipality of Forcalquier since 1898. 

The first distillers, especially pharmacists, found their way to the region on the Montagne de Lure because of the abundant herb reserves.

Tasting notes:

Contains anise, lemon balm, star anise, mint, other herbal essences and mugwort.

Grande Absente is best drunk with ice-cold water, supplemented with 1-2 ice cubes and can be sweetened with sugar to hide the bitter note.
