For the Unicum Barista, the base of over 40 herbs, roots and spices is retained as in the classic Unicum. These are first macerated in alcohol and then stored in oak barrels to develop their typical bitterness and spiciness. The liqueur is then refined with Italian Arabica coffee, which adds an elegant roasted note, hints of chocolate and velvety depth to the flavor profile. At 34.5% vol., it is somewhat lighter than the original, but remains intense and multi-layered.
