Faustino I Gran Reserva is a red wine from D.O. La Rioja produced by the winery Faustino, is made from Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo grapes, which are grown in Rioja Alavesa, Spain.

After the harvest and once they arrive at the winery, the grapes used in Faustino I Gran Reserva are fermented at a controlled temperature of 30º.
Then, the must obtained for Faustino I Gran Reserva is macerated for 27 days.
Lastly, and after going through the all necessary vinification processes, Faustino I Gran Reserva is aged for 28 months in American and French oak barrels.

Before it is bottled, Faustino I Gran Reserva is refined for a long time in the bottle.

Tasting notes: Clean, bright. Ruby color developing to maroon. On the nose is complex and elegant, wide fruity and spicy notes. On the mouth, elegant, with pleasant hints due to the barrel aging. Long and silky finish.

It matches with any kind of meat and mushrooms rice. Some tasty or oily fish such as tuna or cod. Medium-aged cheese such as emmental or Gruyère.

Grape varieties: Graciano, Mazuelo, Tempranillo.
Aging: 28 months in American and French oak barrels.
Closure: Cork.
