The Karukera Rhum Vieux Agricole VO owes its name to the inhabitants who at that time gave the island the name «Karukera», which means «the island of beautiful waters».
This is where Christopher Columbus first moored his fleet in November 1493. This rum is produced in the oldest distillery on the island — the Hope Distillery.
The Karukera Rhum Vieux Agricole VO matured for five years in small ex-Bourbon barrels.
Colour: Amber.
Nose: notes of spices, hints of exotic fruits.
Taste: Spicy, fruity, baked banana, sugar cane, notes of cloves and pepper.
Finish: Long lasting, sweet.
