Calvados Papidoux VSOP is a real French calvados, for the production of which only apple ciders of exceptional quality are used, which are matured in oak barrels for no less than five years.

The apples used to make Calvados are very sweet, rich in tannins, which determine the taste of Calvados, which is complemented by the spices that appear during maturation.

There are more than several hundred varieties of cider apples, but only 48 are used to make calvados. Apples are classified into sweet, bitter, bittersweet and sour. All these types are blended together to produce high quality cider.
