The year 2013 was characterized by a wet and cold winter and a dull spring. These climatic conditions shifted the entire growing cycle by about 15 days. The hot and dry weather during the summer favored the development of the grapes, which could finally be harvested from September 28 to October 15.

The 2013 vintage was also characterized by a late growing season and a comparatively late harvest, which, however, took place under optimal conditions. These climatic conditions permitted the grapes to achieve exceptional ripeness and aromatic density. The cuvée is based on a masterfully balanced combination of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, fermented according to the traditional Méthode Champenoise. The wine then matures on the lees for at least eight years to develop its complexity, creaminess, and characteristic tension.

Tasting notes:

In the glass, the Dom Pérignon presents a light gold color with silver reflections and an incredibly fine, persistent perlage. The nose initially reveals notes of white blossom, citrus zest, and ripe stone fruit, accompanied by hints of roasted almonds, vanilla, and a slightly salty minerality. On the palate, the champagne is precise, profound, and structured, with a perfect balance between vibrant freshness and a creamy texture. The finish is long, complex, and characterized by impressive clarity and elegance.

Residual sugar: 6-7 g/l.

After more than eight years in the cellar, the wine reflects the perfect balance of Dom Pérignon, its most beautiful promise.
