The A.H. Riise 1888 COPENHAGEN XO Superior Spirit Drink is a tribute to the traditional history of Danish distilling and the close connection between Scandinavia and the Caribbean. The A.H. Riise distillery has its origins on the island of St. Thomas, one of the American Virgin Islands, which was once a Danish colony. In the 1840s, pharmacist Albert Heinrich Riise was granted permission not only to run a pharmacy but also to produce high-quality alcohol - a decision that laid the foundations for today's world-famous brand.

The A.H. Riise XO Copenhagen celebrates the glittering Nordic Industrial, Agricultural and Art Exhibition of 1888, which took place in Copenhagen and showcased the best of art, industry and agriculture from the five Nordic countries. This great exhibition, inspired by the Great Exhibition of 1851 in London, attracted over 1.4 million visitors and awarded A.H. Riise XO a gold medal in recognition of its outstanding quality and distinctive taste.

The exclusive blend consists of carefully selected rums that have been matured for between 7 and 21 years in ex-bourbon and sherry casks in the West Indies and Central America. This long barrel ageing gives it its full-bodied, smooth character and a harmonious balance of sweetness, spice and fruitiness.

Nose: Intense and complex with notes of ripe tropical fruit, vanilla, caramel and a hint of roasted almonds.
