Armagnac Delord Delord Vieil Armagnac Vintage Récolte 1987 – 40% ABV, 0.7l in Wooden Box

This vintage Armagnac from Gascony is drawn from a single harvest, 1987. Because it carries a specific vintage, it is classed as an Armagnac Millésimé. That sets it apart from standard cuvées, which blend eaux-de-vie from several different years.

It comes from the Delord house, a family-run producer whose story began in 1893 with Prosper Delord, who worked as an itinerant distiller. Over the generations since, the family has handed down its expertise in grape growing, distillation and the long ageing of eaux-de-vie.

The spirit matured slowly over many years in oak casks. Prolonged contact with the wood is credited with adding to its maturity and complexity. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle.

Presented in a wooden box, it makes a distinctive gift. It suits birthdays, anniversaries and other occasions tied to the year 1987, offering a vintage-specific alternative to the usual spirits gift.
