Bunnahabhain Distillery, located on the picturesque coast of the Isle of Islay, was founded in 1881 and is known for its unique, unpeated whiskies. The distillery originally relied on sea trade and experienced a turning point in 1960 with the construction of a new road that improved logistics. After a brief closure in the 1930s and the last ship arrival in 1993, the road became the main supply route. In 2006, after the takeover by Burn Stewart Distillers, the brand profile was given a modern makeover. The water for the whiskies comes from chalky springs and is piped to the distillery without contact with peat, which gives the whiskies their mild, characteristic flavour. Bunnahabhain 17 Years Old MÒINE TRIPLE CASK Fèis Ìle whisky is a cask strength and exclusive treat that will delight whisky lovers. This special bottling combines the flavours of three carefully selected, peated whiskies: an Oloroso finish, bourbon matured and a rum finish. The complex aroma is reminiscent of the seductive interplay of rum and sultana ice cream, which is the favourite drink of master blender Julieann Fernandez. The unique combination of different ageing methods gives this limited edition of 1,740 bottles a remarkable depth and finesse.

Colour: Amber. Nose: Grilled pineapple, salted sultanas, vanilla pods. Flavour: Smoky, tropical fruit, burnt sugar, ripe sultanas. Finish: Langs, rich, smoky panna cotta.
