Ichiro’s Malt Double Distilleries is a marriage of casks from the Hanyu and Chichibu distilleries; pure malt that combines sweetness and conciseness.
A sweetness that comes in part from maturation in Japanese oak casks.
The conciseness derives from the ex-sherry and hogshead casks from which the malt from the Hanyu distillery has benefited.

Nose

Very fragrant aroma, sweet, fruity, vanilla, custard, almond milk, after a while the cereals, bread crust come out. Graceful and intoxicating fragrance. A herbaceous note of aromatic herbs emerges with water, while almond and vanilla vanish and the bread crust is accentuated

Taste

In the mouth the body is light, just a little tannic. Creamy, but not very sweet, indeed there is a hint of bitter almonds, but still very pleasant and very elegant. With water it becomes more anonymous, loses consistency and even flavor.

Finish

Quite long, creamy finish, a hint of cocoina just before fading. With water it becomes less creamy, but maintains consistency and persistence.
