This 8-year matured rum from Panama is part of El Ron del Artesano's core range and is aged for eight years without a solera system. The premium rum is initially matured for seven years in former American oak bourbon barrels before an additional refinement in a Portuguese Ruby Port Cask. 

This Ruby Port cask finish gives the rum a special aromatic depth and ensures an elegant combination of fruity, spicy and sweet nuances. The transparent production philosophy is particularly noteworthy: no sugar is added, and careful barrel preparation keeps the sugar content below 5 g/liter, allowing the Panama rum to retain its natural character.

The combination of classic bourbon barrel maturation and additional storage in a Ruby Port Cask creates a multi-layered aged rum from Panama that combines fruitiness and elegance. 

The nose already reveals intense fruit aromas reminiscent of cherries and dried plums. With a little time in the glass, vanilla and subtle notes of orange peel also develop. 

On the palate, El Ron del Artesano 8 Años Ruby Port Cask Finish is soft and silky with a harmonious balance of cherry fruit, vanilla, cream sweets and cherry cake, which are characterized by the barrel maturation. 

Only in the finish does the rum reveal its pleasantly integrated alcohol structure, which fades away gently and balanced.
