Faustino Cava Brut Reserva 11,5% Vol. 0,75l

Faustino Brut Reserva took the top spot in analysis of The Spanish Consumers’ and Users’ Organization (OCCUR), between of 24 sparkling white wines, receiving an overall score of 84 points.

The fully ripe grapes of the Chardonnay and Macabeo varieties are harvested by hand, then sorted and gently pressed in the winery. Further aging follows on the basis of classic bottle fermentation. 

The final aging of Faustino takes place for several months in the bottle.

Tasting notes

Clean, bright, pale yellow color and gold rim. Fine bubble. 

On the nose is warm and fruity, white fruit and apple hints standout; floral notes and honey touch. 

Sweet, pleasant and balanced. Long finish. Cold meats or duck. 

Nice with baked patatoes and mushrooms. It matches with salted fish and seafood, caviar and cava is an excellent mix. Strong flavoured cheese. Meat and fish in general.

Grape variety: White Champagne Macabeo and Chardonnay. 

Minimum 18 months aging sur latte.

Closure: Natural cork.
Drinking temperature: 5-8° C.

The winery is located in the Rioja wine region of Spain.
