The Foursquare Détente 10 Years Old is a limited-edition bottling from the renowned Exceptional Cask Selection of the Foursquare Distillery in Barbados. A classic single-blended rum, it combines pot still and column still distillates, giving it remarkable depth, structure, and elegance—a hallmark of Master Distiller Richard Seale's signature style.

This edition matured for a full 10 years in a tropical climate, stored in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-port casks. The latter imparts additional fruity and complex aromas to the rum without losing its oak spice and typical Barbadian character. With an alcohol content of 51% ABV, the Détente was bottled at cask strength—naturally without added sugar, coloring, or additives. The result is a rum with a distinctive profile that successfully combines elegance and expressiveness.

The term "Détente" – French for relaxation or détente – underlines the peaceful dialogue between the two types of casks that give the rum its special balance.
