Jägermeister is a liqueur of 56 herbs. 

The recipe for the liqueur has been around since 1934, and Jägermeister is produced and bottled in Wolfenbüttel in Lower Saxony. 

The Jägermeister logo refers to the St. Hubertus legend and shows the head of a deer with a shining cross between the rungs of its antlers. The more complex aroma extraction takes place in five rather than four passes. 

An unconventional ageing process in small and large oak barrels is used.

Jägermeister is drunk either pure (then iced) or as a mixed drink. In addition to the classic long drinks with orange juice, cola, etc., there are a variety of recipes, e.g. with cocoa or milk.

The Jägermeister Manifest Travellers' Edition unfolds its character best neat, slightly chilled in a tumbler glass. It is an excellent digestif after a hearty meal, especially with game dishes, hearty roasts or aromatic cheese. It also harmonizes with sweet desserts such as chocolate cake or crème brûlée, as its spicy-sweet depth creates exciting contrasts. In modern bar culture, it is also suitable as a luxurious base for cocktails, for example in an herbal old fashioned or in combination with espresso for a sophisticated after-dinner drink.
