Malteco 11 ans Triple 1 is an aged rum from Panama. It is bottled by the Italian brand Malteco.
This rum differs from traditional Spanish rums, in particular thanks to its raw material, which is not molasses but cane honey.
It is produced with a column at the Bodegas de America distillery.
This cuvée was aged for 11 years in American ex-bourbon oak barrels, in a temperate climate. It was then bottled at 55.5°. The name refers to this detail (triple 1 for 111 proof, i.e. 55.5°).
