This rum is made from molasses and undergoes a three-day fermentation that reflects the typical taste of the Caribbean. The rum initially matures for four years in bourbon barrels in Barbados, developing a solid base of woody and vanilla aromas. It is then further matured for five and a half years in ex-Cognac barrels made from French oak, which gives it additional complexity and fruity depth.
