Ruinart's Blanc de Blancs Brut stands as the signature expression of a house founded in 1729, making it the oldest champagne producer in the world. Crafted entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown in select Champagne vineyards, this cuvée has become a benchmark for elegance and precision in the category, celebrated for its purity of fruit and refined character.
Every step of production reflects meticulous care, from the careful selection of grapes to the extended ageing in Ruinart's renowned chalk cellars. This patient maturation builds layers of complexity and results in a particularly fine, persistent bead, giving the champagne both depth and polish.
At 12.5% ABV, the finished wine delivers a harmonious balance of freshness, fruit, and minerality, hallmarks of great Chardonnay-based champagne. This 0.375l half-bottle format is especially well-suited to intimate celebrations, a shared toast for two, or occasions where a full bottle simply isn't needed.
Widely regarded as one of the most distinguished Chardonnay champagnes available, this bottling showcases why Ruinart's approach to Blanc de Blancs continues to set the standard among connoisseurs.
Tasting Note
In the glass, this champagne shows a bright golden-yellow hue with subtle green tints, accompanied by a fine and long-lasting stream of bubbles. The nose opens with elegant notes of citrus, white peach, pear, and white flowers, layered with subtle minerality. On the palate, the wine—made purely from Chardonnay—feels fresh, creamy, and precise, with a lively texture, delicate fruit character, and a distinct mineral edge. The finish is elegant, well-balanced, and impressively long. Residual sugar sits at 8–9 g/l. It pairs beautifully with oysters, scallops, lobster, and other fine seafood, as well as sushi, fish carpaccio, or goat's cheese. Best served chilled at 8–10°C to fully bring out its freshness, fine bubbles, and mineral character.
