Saint Aubin Classic SPICED 40% Vol. 0,7l

Saint Aubin 1819 Classic Spiced is a pure cane juice rum distilled in the copper column still of the estate's rum factory. The latter is located in the south of Mauritius. Spices (cinnamon, orange peels, etc.) are then macerated in this agricultural rum.

While this spice-infused rum is an excellent base for cocktails, it can also be served neat, very chilled over ice.

Tasting notes

The nose is a real gingerbread and inevitably evokes Christmas mulled wine. Cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom float in an orange rum, with a little sugar and vanilla to sweeten it all up. A little peppery air balances the sweetness.

The taste is very sweet but it manages to retain the freshness of the spices. Citrus peels provide both bitterness and fruity flavors. The balance is thus well found, and the power is well regulated.
