In the picturesque countryside of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Gölles is the third generation to run the traditional family fruit-growing business. After graduating from the renowned Federal College for Wine and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples, pears, plums and peaches. His entry into the distillation of fine brandies began in 1979, followed by the founding of his manufactory for high-quality vinegar in 1984. Today, the range includes around twenty fine brandies and just as many types of vinegar, which regularly receive recognition.

ALFRED Dry Vermouth was born out of the long-standing friendship between Alois Gölles and Manfred Tement, who had known each other since their school days in Klosterneuburg from 1974 to 1979. Four decades later, they decided to create a vermouth together. This is characterized by its liveliness and elegance, with Manfred Tement's base wines serving as the basis. Working closely together, they chose a selection of botanicals to refine the vermouth: wormwood herb, cardamom, thyme, fennel, coriander, rose petals and orange peel, which give the vermouth its unique aroma.
