The Glenlivet Caskmakers Travel Exclusive ex-Spanish Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky 40% ABV 0.7L + UK is a special bottling from the traditional Speyside distillery The Glenlivet, created exclusively for the travel retail market. This edition highlights the art of cask making and was developed in close collaboration between Speyside master casks and experienced coopers from Jerez, Spain.

For the Caskmakers, the finest ex-Spanish sherry casks, as well as freshly charred European oak casks, were meticulously disassembled stave by stave and painstakingly reassembled. Part of the whisky matured in these reconstructed casks, resulting in a unique blend of classic sherry character, spicy oak, and subtle smoke. This process imparts impressive depth to the whisky and underscores Glenlivet's innovative spirit. Bottled at 40% ABV, it remains harmonious, smooth, and full of character. Packaged in an elegant gift box (GB), it is an exquisite collector's item for lovers of special Glenlivet bottlings.

Taster's note

Colour: Warm amber with copper highlights.

Nose: Ripe pears and honey, complemented by cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.

Palate: Sweet plums and dried fruit, balanced with roasted pineapple, oak spices, and a hint of campfire smoke.

Finish: Sweet, spicy, and rich with lingering warmth.

The Glenlivet Caskmakers is excellent enjoyed neat to fully appreciate the craftsmanship of the cask and the interplay of aromas. A few drops of water further enhance the fruity and spicy nuances.
