The Silkie is the first bottling of Sliabh Liag Distillers on their ambitious whiskey journey.
While the whiskey distillery was being built, a blend of malt and grain whiskeys has already been produced, giving a characteristic soft mouthfeel and a silky light character.
This exceptionally smooth liquid with its sweet taste and gentle finish is as beguiling as the Selkies, the creatures from Scottish mythology.
Selkies are seals that shed their fur and turn into humans when they come ashore.
