Tomintoul Tawny Port Finish

Master Distiller Robert Fleming created seven small batch bottlings by selecting casks of Tomintoul single malt, matured in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak casks, which are then married and finished in hand-selected casks previously containing Tawny Port. 

This has led to a beautiful new series of Tomintoul Cask Finishes, of which this small batch bottling is a part.

Tasting notes

Nose

Full scent of berries, blackberry jam and dark chocolate coated with nutmeg and cherry liqueur.

Taste

A wave of black currants, blueberries and Schwarzwalder Kirsch, mixed with a warm spiciness of oak and mocha coffee.

Finish

Maraschino cherries and marmalade fade until cloves and cinnamon linger.
