The Falesco winery was founded in 1979 by brothers Renzo and Riccardo Cotarella in Montefiascone, in the Lazio region of Italy. Renzo was the director at the winery, while Riccardo was the oenologist and wine consultant.

The once small family winery grew in popularity and now counts as a large company, already managed by the next generation of the Cotarella family. Around 370 hectares of vines are now cultivated. Through an extremely scientific approach to viticulture, the winery is always at the cutting edge of technology.

Tasting notes:

Bright ruby red in the glass. In the nose fruity of dark berries, black cherries, vanilla notes, cinnamon. On the palate, spicy vanilla bean, cinnamon, toasted aromas, berry notes, ripe cherries, strong tannins. Long lasting on the finish.

Grape variety: Merlot.
Aging: 9 months in barrique.
Acidity: 5,35 g/l.
Residual sugar: 2,15 g/l.
Closure: Natural cork.
Aging potential: Until 2028.
Drinking temperature: 18-20 °C.

Harmonizes perfectly with braised or stewed lamb.
