Gaja Dagromis Barolo DOCG 2018 14% Vol. 0,75l

The Dagromis from Gaja grows in the Barolo municipality of La Morra, which is known for its relatively elegant and charming wines, and in Serralunga, where the wines are particularly powerful. The Dagromis thus has something from both communities and finds the perfect balance between substance and finesse. This Barolo has existed in this form since the 2001 vintage. The name comes from the Gromis estate (Dagromis = from Gromis), which the Gaja family acquired in 1995. Initially, the wine was a blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera, like almost all Gaja Crus at the time.

The Barolo Dagromis is aged partly in large wooden barrels and partly in barriques, as is usual with the high-quality red wines from Gaja.

Grape variety: Nebbiolo.
Aging: 12 months in barriques, followed by 12 months in large oak barrels.
Soil: Calcareous clay soil.
Closure: Natural cork.
Storage potential: Until 2033.
