The Schwarz Winery on Lake Neusiedl, was founded 20 years ago by Hans Schwarz. 

The trained butcher turned his profession into a hobby and his hobby into a profession. 

The wine lover started wine production and quickly gained high reputation in the wine scene. 

Today the winery is managed by Hans and Michael, his son.

Tasting notes:

Dark ruby garnet in the glass. In the nose fruity of ripe cherries, black currant as well as jam, precious wood spice. On the palate juicy, violet notes, dark cherries, wild berries, black currant, well integrated tannin. Long lasting on the finish.

Grape variety: Zweigelt.
Soil: limestone, gravel.
Aging: 20 months in new barrique.
Acidity: 5,5 g/l.
Residual sugar: 1 g/l.
Closure: Natural cork.
Storage potential: Until 2028.

An ideal companion to beef as well as lamb dishes.
