"Green crystal in the volcanic rock combines vine and oak in the wine" This is what is written on the label, a little mystical, because the oak trees for the small wooden barrels also grow on the same soil, in the same climate around Kapfenstein Castle in Styria. 

Pronounced cherry notes, vanilla, eucalyptus, dark chocolate on the palate, sour cherry, strong body and velvety tannins.

Aging: 24 months in barriques of Kapfenstein oak.
Soil: Lime-free loose sediment brown earth.
Acidity: 5.6 g/l.
Residual sugar: 1.1 g/l.
